The tragedy of programmed existence outweighs the spectacle of cosmic transcendence. There is an insurmountable gulf between a YPS-3 city-level combatant and a YPS-6 planet-level entity, but this disparity exposes a deeper narrative divergence in agency. Goku operates with total self-determination, treating the universe as a gymnasium for his own growth. His pursuit of the thrill of combat is a luxury afforded by a perfect alignment of will and power. Conversely, Shalltear exists as a scripted entity. Her identity is a collection of fetishistic settings imposed by a creator, making her struggle for validation far more psychologically fraught than any battle Goku faces. While Goku's arc is one of expansion, Shalltear's is one of claustrophobic recovery. The trauma of her rebellion—forced by external mind control—highlights the fragility of her autonomy. She does not fight to test her limits; she fights to prove her utility to Ainz Ooal Gown. This creates a paradox where the character with less destructive capability carries a heavier emotional burden. Goku is a god who chooses to be a child, but Shalltear is a monster who is forbidden from being anything other than a tool. The narrative weight shifts from the scale of the explosion to the scale of the cage.
